Duchy of Tenh
A relatively small collection of holdings under the Banner of Duke Enyeh the 3rd in the north eastern portion of the flanaess.
Once a civilized land, since the retreat of the Duke to Neighbouring Nyrond Tenh has become much more dangerous. With the Duke gone, the vast majority of the country can now be classified as ‘wild’.
Over half the native population (mostly human) are prisoners. Some are slaves, others await being sent to the Empire of Iuz, while still more stand to serve as food for the more monstrous beings that have descended on Tenh from Stonefist and the mountains to the North.
The remaining population strive and struggle to survive and reclaim what was recently lost. Many work towards the return of the Duke and await the day of his triumphant arrival to finally rid the land of the beasts that have come calling. However, as the years drag on, fewer and fewer people voice cries for the Duke’s return and as more time passes without change, some begin to wonder if the Duke shall ever return at all.
The duchy is bordered on the east by the Yol river, which leads down to Yol Lake, coming from the Griff mountains, which border Tenh to its North. Coming down from the Griffs to form Tenh’s western border is the Zumker river, which runs into the great Artonsamay river to flow eastwards, forming most of Tenh’s southern border along with the Phostwood, a forest at the southern end of the duchy.
The duchy also touches the Troll fens to the east just below the Griff mountains.
The capital of Tenh is Nevond Nevnend, however the city fell to the Stonefist invasion and has been under enemy control for over a decade. The largest city remaining to the Tenhans is the City of Redspan, a small city in the south of Tenh, west of the Phostwood. It sits on the banks of the Artonsamay river and boasts a burgeoning population of just over 6500 people, the vast majority of which are humans.
