The Cursed Remedy
A low end tavern in the cheaper side of Redspan, near docks. Run by a man called Barda, the Cursed Remedy has earned a reputation of attracting those who want not be to have attention called to them.
It is a dimly lit, gloomy place. Music is not played for the patron of the Remedy as they prefer silence in which to generally glower at their drinks. Most sit alone, though some few argue quietly and gamble. Many sit cloaked and cowled, drinking alone and preferring it this way for whatever reason, not necessarily nefarious.
Most patrons of the Remedy are regulars and know better than to ask questions or disturb others, not to mention they want nobody to question or disturb them either and expect the same curtesy.
Barda runs an efficient bar, where there is always food and drink, room and board. Though not the best food or comfy or cleanest rooms, the Remedy is known to have palatable meals and decent drink as well as sturdy doors. This is an important feature Barda promotes to his newcomers. The company at the Remedy may leave something to be desired but it is reliable.
The bar is guarded by Leif and Jasmine, two warriors capable of either keeping the peace or removing the threat should the need arise, while Elsey and Retha clean, serve and help Barda run the bar. Though few ever see him, the cook, Adlar, never seems to sleep, always able to cook at anyone’s need.
